Film Photos

So I bought the film and batteries for that camera...

Why is film still so expensive when film cameras are practically extinct? UGH.

Anyway, I bought 4 rolls of film and two batteries. We'll see where that takes me.

An another note, school is getting insanely frustrating. I'm at the point in the semester where everything is due at once and it's incredibly annoying. So I think tonight I'm going to spend some time doing homework when I get home, and then perhaps take some sunset pics with the infamous camera.

:)

Hopefully pics to come in the future!!

New Project

So in the cupboard, my dad has this old camera. Apparently he bought it while he was in the Navy, which was in the early 80's.

It has a few lenses, including a zoom lens and a star lens filter.

I need to buy a new battery and some film, obviously.

But I am going to start kind of a photo diary I guess, and try to get creative with this awesome film camera.

Because let's just be honest, film kicks the crap out of digital photography. There is so much you can do with negatives and with various shots with a film camera...even though I do love editing digital photos. Playing with editing programs could keep me busy for days on end.

I'm so excited for this new adventure though.

My inspiration:

Stay tuned for some pics!! :) I'm hoping to pick up film and stuff this week!

Sigh.

Sometimes it's really hard to stay motivated.

Blah.

I hate school.

And everything related to it.

That's all.

Fall

So school starts today...and I'm so not ready. Not ready is an understatement. For sure.

I'm trying to keep a good attitude; it's definitely my last full year, and I need to just focus and get it overwith.

My new job is going really well...it's definitely been a blessing. I love the people I work with and the job is so much better than my old one. I'm not looked down upon as a "student" here, which is definitely a plus...

About two weekends ago Josh and I celebrated one year together. :) He surprised me by taking me to Cygnus, which was delicious. And they brought out a champagne toast to celebrate our anniversary. It was very cute.

After dinner, he took me on a carriage ride through the city. It was a lot of fun, very relaxing and pretty romantic. :)

He put a ton of planning into it, and I was very surprised and enjoyed it a lot...

Anyway, I'm going to get ready for class...awesome...
